Universidad Andrés Bello Receives Top Employers Certification for the Third Consecutive Year
The university has been recertified for excellence in people management practices and work environment, being the only higher education institution in Chile to obtain the Top Employer distinction. Significantly, UNAB increased its overall score by 2.58%, from 81.55% in 2022 to 84.13% in 2024.
On Thursday, January 18, it was officially announced that Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB) was recertified by Top Employer for the year 2024, being the third consecutive year obtaining the prestigious international seal that recognizes organizations for their good practices in Human Resources and People management.
The Top Employers Institute program certifies leading organizations in people practices based on participation and results obtained in its HR Best Practices Survey. This survey encompasses six HR domains comprising 20 topics, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Well-Being, and Diversity and Inclusion.
In this way, UNAB continues to position itself as the only Higher Education institution in Chile to have the Top Employers seal. About the recognition, UNAB President Julio Castro said:
“For Universidad Andrés Bello to receive the Top Employer certification for the third consecutive year is a sign that we are an institution committed to continuous improvement and accreditation and certification processes in all dimensions. Therefore, achievements such as these make us happy and proud and confirm that we are moving forward on the road to excellence.”
Compared to the rest of the organizations certified worldwide, UNAB stands out above the average in the domains of Structure (96.46%), evaluating the organization and change management, digital HR systems, and the work environment; Management (98.48%), which incorporates organizational strategy, people strategy, and leadership (98.48%), which includes organizational strategy, people strategy, and leadership; also adding this year the dimension Connect (88.68%), related to institutional values, along with other areas such as integrity, inclusion, sustainability, etc.
Likewise, the university obtained an increase in the overall score of 2.58%, from 81.55% to 84.13%, positioning itself above the score obtained by the certified organizations (209) at the Latin American level (83.91%). Juan Luis Yoshimura, Human Resources Director at UNAB, stated:
“Our focus is on people, and to receive this certification again is a source of joy, pride, and a clear sign that we are doing things right. We aim to consolidate year after year and to make steady progress in key aspects of labor practices and people management.
