CNA-Chile Awards Five-Year Accreditation to Oral and Maxillofacial Imaging and Orofacial Pain Programs
With eight accredited programs, the School of Dentistry is a leader and benchmark of excellence in its field.
Building on the success of the Specialization Programs in Orthodontics and Orthopedics and the Specialization in Pediatric Dentistry, which were previously accredited for their excellence, the UNAB School of Dentistry has now added the Specialization Programs in Oral and Maxillofacial Imaging and in Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain to this prestigious recognition.
Both programs received accreditation from the National Accreditation Commission (CNA-Chile) for five years, which reaffirms the commitment of the School and the Universidad Andrés Bello to academic excellence and consolidates its position as a leader in dental education nationwide.
Dr. Waleska Zuzulich, Postgraduate Director of the UNAB School of Dentistry UNAB, emphasized that the accreditation of both programs strengthens the prestige of the School. «This recognition confirms compliance with the highest standards of quality in dental education and reaffirms the work of those who make up the School,» he said.
«By successfully accrediting its eight specialties, the School consolidates its position as a national leader and benchmark of excellence in the dental field,» said the Dean of the UNAB School of Dentistry, Dr. Joyce Huberman.
This achievement reflects the constant effort to ensure consistency and rigor in academic quality. Strengthening internal evaluation and continuous improvement processes and maintaining a high level of commitment and motivation among the academic teams were essential to achieving this. These factors allowed us to meet and even exceed the required standards.
The future focus of both programs will be on addressing current challenges, ensuring the continuity of the level of excellence achieved, and expanding collaborations with institutions both nationally and internationally.
«These initiatives will improve academic content and facilitate the international exchange of students and professors, thus promoting a complete and high-level education,» concluded Dr. Zuzulich.
